They're now in stickies in this forum.

Surely the two smiley kings won't be offended if those two smilie threads are merged?

Also, how about putting the [notag][/notag] text beside each smilie so we can cut and paste the link without having to "Quote".

Ross, you are free to put them all (Littlefoot's and mine) in one big message.

Done. But I un-stickied it and I don't know how to sticky it back up.

Making it 'sticky' has been done.

I can still see the icon in the post that referenced the original. Can I use it here?

David

Upd: Yes - the graphic is still addressable (for me anyway).

Littlefoot asked:
Hello, David!

I've seen you have created a great post which contains all smilies. Could all previous posts be removed, because - this one is more than enough? If I understood it well, GIFs are stored in the FA directory and message itself shouldn't matter any more.

I thought I'd rather double check than be sorry later - it would be painful to upload all of them again

I replied:
I don't know! I have a gut feeling that if you delete the graphic from the post it is deleted from the 'fa' directory.

There are lots of 'holes' in the graphics sequence so I can only assume that something deletes the entries.

David

Littlefoot continued:
OK, so it is probably better not to touch anything.

Thank you!

So I've done some testing and if we can still see this icon tomorrow then I expect that we can delete the 'one icon' postings from the main 'smilie' thread.

Frank Naude can probably tell if there is a regular batch that removes unused attachements?
