Ok here is a little background.

I am working with a rather large Oracle 10g DB (talking over 5-600 tables).

I didn't create it...just work with it.

I want to be able to search for differences between 2 entries.

I know what tables I want to look in...keep in mind that there is at least 24 of them right now and each of those table has anywhere between 10-50 columns.

Now between the entries all the columns would be the same, the data within might be different and that is what I want to see. (eg entry one has a date of 5/7/2009 and the other is 1/1/1900).

If the data is the same I don't really care to see it.

I know this function/script is going to be gi-normous, so if you want/need more info I can provide it.

I can get the most of the info required bit by bit, but have no idea how to get it all together and look pretty.

Thanks

I know what a row is.
I know what a column is.

The only way I'd know what an entry is, if one walked up to me & introduced itself.

With 24 tables, you need to do 23 factorial comparisons for each entry.
This does not scale well at all.

Good Luck!
